Dodgeball is an older version of FourSquare. The point of it was that users send a text through this social media to their friends (have to be users) where they are or where they want to go that night. It helped people connect with others face to face and sometimes go to places they normally would not go. Though Google bought it out in 2009, it paved the way for mobile locative social media.
