Are you or your band interested in playing the Space?

We'd love to have you! Here's how to get a show...

Generally all shows are booked six to eight weeks in advance to ensure proper time for promotion.

Our preferred method of booking request is through Sonicbids:
Submit your materials online through Sonicbids! If you are not yet a Sonicbids member and want to submit online, visit www.sonicbids.com/TheSpace and sign-up for the Sonicbids Combo Package (includes your submission AND a discounted Sonicbids membership). If you are already a Sonicbids member, log in to your account and visit the Space's Drop Box to submit.

If you don't have a Sonicbids and aren't interested in getting one...
You can either:

A. Shoot us an email at booking@thespace.tk with a link to your myspace or purevolume page. In the email be sure to include in what time frame you'd like to play the Space, your phone number, your expected draw in our area, and any details about your band you want us to know!

or

B. Send us off a kit at:

The Space
Attn: Noah, Booking Request
295 Treadwell Street
Building H
Hamden, CT 06514

We always enjoy getting CDs and press photos!

A FEW IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

1. NO COVER BANDS
The Space is always all original music, if you want to play someone else's songs there are a variety of venues / bar-mitzvahs / high school dances that would be more than happy to host you. We aren't one of em, sorry!

2. BE PROFESSIONAL
Before confirming a date with us be sure all members of your band are available to play it and aware of all the show details. Dropping off a show (especially at the last minute) gives everyone in the office stress head aches. It reflects poorly on your band and will most definitely adversely effect your chances of getting a show here in the future.

3. BE PATIENT
The Space receives hundreds of booking requests every week. We try to respond to each of them as quickly as possible but sometimes it takes us a bit. Resending the same exact email day after day after day after day... will not increase your chances of getting a timely response.

4. BE PREPARED TO WORK HARD & PROMOTE
Our staff here at the Space works hard day and night to ensure that every show is as successful as possible for the artists and venue. We don't make you pay for play like a lot of the clubs in CT, all we ask is that you care as much about your shows as we do.
