The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy is hosting an all-day family and friends beach party to benefit scientific research, improve public safety, educate the community, and inspire the conservation of Atlantic white sharks. Throughout the day there will be a number of exciting events and guest speakers, ending with the premiere of the movie, Deep Sea.

Get things started by showing off your sand sculpting skills in our first welcome event. Teams and individuals are encouraged to enter their best traditional castle, scupture, or even a (sand) shark! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 overall winners as well as ones for some of the more inventive entries.
Meet the amazing women of The Gills Club, a group that harnesses girls' passion for sharks, nature and the environment by giving them the opportunity to engage in projects focused on making a significant impact on the way sharks are perceived by the public. The STEM-based education initiative is dedicated to connecting girls with female scientists from around the world, sharing knowledge, and inspiring shark and ocean conservation.
We’ll be serving up some good ‘ole fashioned burgers and dogs! Whether you prefer classic beef, turkey, or vegetarian patties, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
Color and create shark-themed crafts geared for kids ages 4-15. Also come learn more about our summer camp and summer camp scholarships, awarded to qualified school children with an interest in sharks, marine biology, or science to attend our summer program.
Dr. Lowe and his students work primarily on white sharks in southern California, and some of their most recent research concerns were young of the year white sharks and the risks they encounter when they are inshore.
John Chishom gives us an interesting look into the breaching basking sharks that he and his team have observed, with some great information on how to tell the difference between a basking shark, and a great white!
Michelle Wcisel is originally from Michigan, USA and is a Zoologist specialized in predator/prey behaivour and the Scientific Communicator for EDNA Interactive. She has spent the past 4 years studying the behaviour of white sharks and Cape fur seals at Geyser Rock, 'Shark Alley', South Africa.

Deep Sea transports audiences below the ocean surface to swim with some of the planet’s most unique, dangerous and colorful creatures, from the unusual Wolf Eel to the Giant Pacific. Moviegoers will be brought face to face with these underwater inhabitants to witness their peculiar and amazing behavior as they rely on one another for survival.
We’d love for you to join us for a fin-filled day and a great cause! To help meet our fundraising goal, we have a suggested donation of $20 per person or $40 for families.
