The Game of Life

Today was a different day like the rest of them before you... The birds that were chirping no longer there, flowers trampled over as the halls of the school was silent as ever... [[Why?]]

You stood still in the halls as the day was just like yesterday... Everywhere you looked there was people milling about their daily lives, however the day before... gave everyone scars in one way or another. Your name... [[is...]]

"Hey Yun!" A boy called out, walking up to you. "You okay? You were staring off again." (text-colour:#adb5bd)["Y-Yeah... I'm all good. Just thinking is all... Bye now."] You said as you left the other to walk to class, but you doubt you would learn anything useful. [[Head to Class]]

Once in class, you sit down as roll call began... Looking outside the window by your desk, over to a tree swaying over in the distance. (text-colour:yellow)["Yun, please pay attention to class this time."] The professor called your name, his voice a bit sadden to call for you. (text-colour:yellow)["I know you miss him, and if you need some time, feel free to leave class early today."] (text-colour:#adb5bd)["Sorry Mr. Saki... But I'll be fine. Just day dreaming..."] You say with a heavy voice. (text-colour:yellow)[Mr. Saki] doesn't fully believe you, but nods his head as he walks up to the front of the class and began the lecture. You stay seated, trying to listen into (text-colour:yellow)[Mr. Saki's] lecture of the history of Japan, however despite it being very interesting, it was hard to be happy again... after... (text-colour:yellow)["Did you know that Japan is one of the hardest languages with Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji?" Mr. Saki] said, trying his best to keep the students engaged. But your mind starts to wander... and as you turn your head to the tree once again, you see it. A shadow of a person with a bright smile... [[That... DAMN Smile...]]

Despite the interesting lecture of (text-colour:yellow)[Mr. Saki], you just grabbed your things and left the classroom without a sound. It wasn't hard as you're a quiet person anyways... Walking aimlessly down the empty halls as you wander about, the sounds of your heart thumping in your chest as the class letcure, deep inner thoughts, and the pains of lack of sleep casued a ringing in your ears. A loud popping sound coming down from the halls, making you crouch down into a ball in fear, shaking as it was unexpected... It sounded like gunshots... Taking some deep breaths, and after a few minutes, you realized that it was just some chemistry class doing an experiment nearby... You look up from the floor, however, when you do, you see something... which caused you to freeze up, you see him... You blink and even pinch yourself, but to no avail. Whatever you saw was gone... Yet... You know you'll see it again and again... And just like that, class was over, letting you go and out of the hall... that's when you spot it. Something that reminds you of him again... [[A... Blue Bandana...]]

You turn around, finding some of your friends. A short girl that has an obsession with magic and weeb type of stuff, she wore a blue dress from her shoulders down to her shins. A large blue witch hat with her outfit adorned with pink bows that were her own eye color. Wearing some black boots, you could say she came from a fairytail. And a boy that wears long and oversized coats and hoodies over himself, even in the hottest of conditions, wearing gray sweats and black shoes and long shirt underneath. A long scarf with a gradient of white to blue from each end of the fabric, which was long as his coat, his eyes also a cool blue. Adorned with a golden heart-shaped locket, holding someone close to his heart. (text-colour:#adb5bd)["H-Heya..."] You say, the boy waves and points to your pocket.. It was almost nighttime once you got over to (text-colour:#4dabf7)[Kai's place.] He had a modest living place near the school the three of you go to. It has a fair kitchen and living area, a balcony off the 5th story, and even a few guest bedrooms and extra bathrooms. It wasn't the biggest of places, but it was good enough. (text-colour:#4dabf7)["Welcome to my place. Take your shoes off before you enter. I just cleaned up here."] He said as he took off his shoes by the door, hanging up his bag and coat. Angel following suit as she flopped down onto the couch. You follow too, not to be rude. Slipping off your shoes as you stand in the middle of the room, your head still buzzing. You look at yourself in the mirror. You were wearing a dark navy blue hoodie, gray sweatpants and glasses, your hands gripping onto yourself tight. Your eyes were a light gray, with your body covered in black fur with some white accents, a thin cat tail not swaying, staying down with your ears hidden under your hood. Your eyes had bags under them, your body was slim at best, and quite short at 5'5 foot. Hair was long that covered your eyes and long enough in the back that you needed a special jade beaded hairband from... a friend to tie it into a low ponytail. You sit down onto the ground, hugging your knees into your chest as you sat in the darkness of the room. You didn't feel bothered as it was dark in your life now anyways. School was hard, mantaining being healthy was hard, looking for job offers was hard... Life was just hard... Hugging yourself tighter, as you wallowed in your sadness... Holding back the tears as you could feel a protective hold on yourself, almost like something... or someone was protecting you. You freeze up, as the warmth in the cold felt all too familiar... You stand still, taking a few long and deep breaths to catch yourself... in and out... in and out... Closing your eyes, holding your head up and count in your head up to twenty before opening your eyes again. The swirling of inner thoughts disappearing for only for a few seconds before coming back, hitting you like a brick in the head and chest. The pain coming all back at once. You bite your lip as you stare back at the ground, feeling something overweighing on your shoulders... it was so heavy... [[Bathroom]]

You decide that you had enough time in the bathroom, unlocking the door and walking out. Seeing that Angel and Kai were doing their own thing. The weeb girl was watching some random and bright anime on the TV. And the boy wearing a red apron and beginning to cook for dinner. Who do you wish to talk to? You decide to talk with Kai, walking over to see that the other boy was dicing some onions and potatoes with a knife, some meat on the stove already sizzling in olive oil. It's a crime that he isn't part of the cooking club. (text-colour:#4dabf7)["Oh, just some lambchops I got a day or so ago and some onions and potatoes alongside with it. Why, miss my cooking?"] He gave you a smirk as he added some of the diced vegetables into the pan, letting the flavors mix together. (text-colour:#4dabf7)["It'll be done in a few. It's omega cool!"] The short girl said with a big smile, pointing to the screen. You look at it, but it was just a bunch of super bright colors and flashing characters on the screen... I didn't start liking it until the end of the first season. I believe this is Season 9, even I'm surprised how long it's going for." You help as much as you could, words swirling in your head as it just felt like your body was moving on its own. After the table was all set and food out, seasoned lambchops with diced potatoes and onions, with water to drink. You thank (text-colour:#4dabf7)[Kai] for dinner and sit down, giving a small faint smile before glancing over to the empty chair next to you... starting to eat as the other two ate alongside you. The food was very warm and tasty, yet it felt like it was missing something... As you try to eat more and more, the voices in your head started to get louder and louder, the voices of your friends getting softer and softer until you couldn't hear anything else. The sky was clear with lots of shining stars and a cresent moon up in the sky. The beside clock reading 8pm. The walls was a warm gray with the floor being a soft beige carpet. You open up your eyes, you were laying on a picnic blanket under the the tree that you look at all the time, a large pink sakura tree that you and your friends come to sit under and talk to whenever. Looking over and you see a soft face waving at you. He had white fur with light blue accents on his ears and fluffy fox tail, and his eye color too. You look up from your test like many others, the blood curling scream from outside your classroom... with the sounds of gunshots being heard right after. Panic fiklled the air as people began to either barricade the doors, try and escape through the windows, or hide. The sounds of gunshots and screams were getting louder and louder... As more panic ensued, some people jumping out from the second floor and onto the concrete below. (text-colour:#66d9e8)["Fuck!" Go Yun!"] Without much thought, the fox pushes you out the window before getting shot in the back, making him couch up blood. You watching your friend being gunned as you fell from the window. It seemed like you were falling forever the image of your friend... no... the one you fell hard for... die in front of you...
