Students who entered QU prior to fall 2018:
If the course is a major/minor requirement, it may be counted toward that degree program and also as a UC requirement.
If the course is a minor requirement, it may be counted toward that degree program and also as a course outside the major within the CAS additional requirements.
A course that is used to satisfy a CAS additional distribution requirement can also be used to satisfy a UC-elective requirement or a course taken toward the Personal Inquiry II portion of the UC.
A 300-level course may count both for the 300-level requirement and also the humanities, social science, or fine arts requirement within the CAS additional requirements.
For students entering in F16 or later, no more than two classes, up to 8 credits, in a student’s declared major can count towards the UC (exclusive of the capstone).
Students who entered QU in fall 2018 or later:
A course counted toward the CAS breadth requirement may not also count toward UC requirements. There are no other restrictions on double-counting courses.
