Final Deliverables and Presentation
Please prepare the following for the final.
Game
Prepare a final versions of your work. Make sure your itch.io page is posted to Trello.
- Final Build
Post a final build playable to itch.io (either WebGL or as a downloadable executable zipped - MAC and PC please).NOTE: Make sure you test your build ahead of time. Doing this the night before is not a good idea. If you plan on doing a WebGL build, consider making a development build and disabling compression. - Unity Project
Zip up the final project folder and post in your One Drive folder (specify on Trello whose folder). If you have shared a GitHub directory, this is not necessary.NOTE: Be sure to zip the project folder before uploading to OneDrive or you'll be in for a world of hurt.
References
Double-check that you've credited everybody and everything properly.
- Credit Others
Please make sure you list all of the materials you have used to complete this project. Clearly mark a list entitled "References" end of your Trello board. This includes: art, music, code, tutorials, sound effects, etc... If legal usage of these assets is dependent upon crediting the creator, please create a Credits page in your game and do so.REMEMBER: If you do not credit work that I discover, I have to assume you are trying to pass it off as your own, which will result in a zero and notifying the academic integrity board.
Publishing Materials
Make sure the following is posted to itch.io.
- Tagline
Write a tagline for your game. Make it unique – the shorter the better. A sentence is fine. A phrase is better. - Description
Write a short one to two paragraph description of your game. - Screenshots
Prepare five of your best hi-res screenshots in the game. - Animated GIFS
Create three animated GIFS of your game. Make these extremely short and small (less than 5MB). Make them impactful and representative of important game mechanics. Max three seconds long. You can use GIF Brewery (for Mac). Here are some options for PC. - Trailer
Create a trailer for your game. You must include gameplay footage for your game. Make it approximately a minute long.
Presentation
Create a short post-mortem presentation in PowerPoint or Keynote. One per team, not per individual. You can add to this format, but keep it brief and include the following.
- Title
Your game's title with its tagline. - Process Reflection
Three to five bullet points reflecting upon your process. Did you prioritize effectively? Did you communicate well? What worked? What didn't? - Lessons Learned
Three to five bullet points expressing lessons you learned from the creation of your game. Compile the most important lessons from your team. What would you have done differently? - Critique/Future Directions
Three to five bullet points on your games biggest flaws. If you were to keep working on it, what would you fix?
