I choose to look at the Coca-Cola company website as an example of an interactive story, because I figured that a company that large would have to have some sort of layout that would intrigue visitors to the site. The palce that I ended up showing was the section of the site that talked about the Company and its History.upon opening the page, it is very basic with the coke colors, red and white, but it has a lot to it that can involve the visitors of the site. To begin, there is a menu bar on the top of the site that can be srolled through to show all of the complex parts of the company, and all of the sections could be clicked on. Below the menus, there are clickable images that would allow the visitor to see the history of the company, see what it is like now, what the community wants, as well as a few other selections. These would grab the users eyes more than the menus so these must all be topics that Coca-Cola prides themselves on and would like to share with everyone who views their site. Just below the images, there are a series of infographs, which are a good way for a company to display information to people in an easy to understand fashion. The only problem with the infographs is that they are the only thing on the page not clickable, which could lead to user errors and frustration towards the website. However, under the infographs are more images, but with some more describtions, that will take users to different topics that were available in the original menus. They could have done this to clear up confusion about the menus and let users use an easier option for selecting options. Within each page, the interaction decreases and gets replaced with a wall of text, which is fine for telling a story, but does make it lose the users attention if they are not willing to just read and scroll after a very interactive first page. Overall, for a company that could spend a lot of money for an interactive site that tells their story in an engaging way, it really drops off after the first page. I believe that they could have done better with the site, but it still is a step in the right direction for this large company, and hopefully others will follow suit.
