Read this intro to the collection of emails, images, texts, and prototypes that were a part of the creation of Threes. Afterwards, spend some time browsing the completely overwhelming amount of content provided. Please do not try to read the whole thing, but do spend some time with it, finding passages or themes that interest you.
Download and play at least one of the prototypes listed on this webpage. An easy target would be the initial prototype, however there are atleast are a few others hidden in the content (e.g. monster prototype or flurry of prototypes).
Identify one particular conversation, thread or aspect of this content related to the game design process that interests you. Write a one to two page document describing what you chose and why you did, critically analyzing any design decisions the developer faced. Relate it back to your own game design process and/or experiences you've had in making games. You may also relate it back to the design exercise done in class. Use quotes, texts or images from the content in your document to support your argument.
To hand in your work, upload a .doc or .pdf and link to it from your index.html page. To receive credit, it must be uploaded by class on the date specified. Label it clearly. Here is help if you need it.
