Project

Publishing Materials

You will be publishing your game. In preparation for that, divide up the following responsibilities. You will be presenting this to the class as a part of your weekly progress grade. Be sure these responsibilities are included in your weekly task lists.

  • Tagline. Write a tagline for your game. Make it unique – the shorter the better. A sentence is fine. A phrase is better.
  • Description. Write a short one to two paragraph description of your game.
  • Link to Published Game Page. Please provide a link to the published game on itch.io or the platform of your choice. All of these materials should be included on your published game site.

You should also make progress on the following. For your sanity, I'd have these done, but if you're making last minute art tweaks, and you REALLY want it in the footage, you can wait until the final.

  • Screenshots. Prepare five of your best hi-res screenshots in the game.
  • Animated GIFS. Create three animated GIFS of your game. Make these extremely short and small (less than 5MB). Make them impactful and representative of your core mechanic. Max three seconds long. You can use GIPHY for Mac. Here are some options for PC.
  • Trailer. Create a trailer for your game. You must include gameplay footage for your game. It must be less than a minute long.
