Harbor Havoc

Harbor Havoc is a fast moving pirate game where the player must shoot down towers, open the treasure chest, and upgrade their boat to fight tougher islands. Currently there are three levels in the game, and they get more difficult as the levels progress. As each player completes a level, they have a choice between three different types of upgrades: Damage, Defense, and Attack Speed. The goal is destroy all of the towers before the towers kill the player.

I worked on this game with two other people named Mark Bergsbaken and Izzy Bonizzi. One of the big things that I focused on was the player. In my vision for the game, I thought this game was more fitted towards controller play. I was worried about how easy the game would be if the player could simply move their mouse to a specific spot to shoot. So I added controller movement to introduce more difficulty into the game. I also worked on the camera movement, implementing UI, player upgrades, and transitions between levels.
