The Depths of the Caverns

The Depths of the Caverns is a 2D platformer game where the player must parkour different levels to progress. I developed this game in my GDD 200 class for my final project. When creating this project, I wanted to focus a lot of my time on the gameplay. I am not the biggest artist and I didn't really focus too much on making sure everything looks right. But for the gameplay, one mechanic that I believe is unique across all platformers is being able to stop the player's velocity by clicking in mid air. Since the player is in constant motion, the player needs to be able to stop in order to make a certain jump, or avoid an obstacle. Overall, this project turned out really well.
