This game ended up becoming a passion project for me. I spent so much time on this game and I am so glad that it turned out the way it did.
The title screen is my favorite as the music I found works perfectly with the feel and look of the game.
This game was made by assets not at all from me. Everything was found online. I did all the coding, placements, and set up for everything else.
This game was made by only me and was used as my Final for my Game Art class in my 3rd semester of college.
A physical game made to simulate speed, weight, and size to complete the given course.
By giving the player the ability to rotate, shake, and fling the player object(s) around the given course, The Box provides a movement system without direct contact.
Below are three videos of my classmates playtesting the game along with the rules.
A game made closely to mirror Wipeout at the start took a funny turn towards the end.
I made this game with my friend James Higgins who created all the textures, models, and win screen you see present. Well besides the character.
I created the scripts and set everthing into place, kind of like a level designer.
This game included a respawn when you fell off an obstacle which would set you back to the start of the previous obstacle.
This is my first environment made with the concept of a boss arena and starting area. During the provided video, the camera finishes at the boss arena. This was all made fully in Unity. My thought process behind the environment was to make something familiar and calm with the green grass having patches of yellow to signify less healthy grass. It then transitions into purple grass where the first thought of the player should be why is it purple? And what's over there? The skybox was an added facade that blended in well with the different grass types providing a calm night feeling. The trees on the side were added to guide the player towards the purple grass where the area is more open and not dense with forrest.
Starting off as an assignment made for a 3D modeling class with being tasked to create a mythical envinroment this turned into an Alice in Wonderlands sort of project. With some items being significantly larger than others and some smaller than their real life conterpart I was going for a forgotten battle field feeling. I was mostly proud of the small detailing like how the goggles have broken glass so show damage, the copper ring off to the left having burn marks and finally the hand in the center having blood to show a recent fight.
