To spark our class discussions and to prepare you for critical analysis of games you will post a response to the discussion board that demonstrates critical thinking. You could agree or disagree with the author, follow the author's reasoning down a different path, or use the author's points as starting point for a topic you are passionate about. You should cite the author at least once and cite any other references that support your argument. You 3 paragraph post should have an intro, development, and conclusion and should make sense to someone not in the class. Remember that these are not reports on the reading. We have all read them. The readings should also help you with your own game design process. In addition to your reading response, upload a sketch that plays with an element from the readings or from our class gameplay that you might be able to use when designing a game. You will also be coming up with 2 original game ideas that should consciously include what you have learned from the readings.
