Here is a
page with the rubrics detailing how each assignment will be assessed.

2 Gamification Solutions(40% - 400 pts. )
Over the course of the semester you will identify two problems and come up with a gamification method of changing behavior to solve the problem. Each project will include:
- Proposal
- Storyboards
- Paper Prototype
- test, beta and final versions of the gamification platform
- usability tests
- summary of project
- interesting, appropriate problem?
- well-defined goals?
- measurable outcomes?
- statistically solid assessment strategy?
- meaningful motivators?
- well-designed interface and feedback mechanisms?
You may form teams if desired. Usability tests must show analysis of whether or not behavior modification goals were achieved in your test population. Total points for both solutions: 450. You can decide how much you want each of the projects to count for.
Presentation(15% - 150 pts.)
Each student is responsible for finding and analyzing an existing gamification initiative in a field that is of interest. You will prepare a summary and review of this platform using whichever medium you prefer ( powerpoint, video, interactive presentation, etc.) .
Lecture Discussions(20% - 200 pts. )
Given that this is an online class, it is important for you to participate in the blog, comment on the lectures and interact with other students.
-
Reading Responses - Discussions (25% - 250 pts. )
Responses to each week's readings should be posted to the Blackboard discussion forum by 6pm Monday evening. You should read and comment on other students' responses in addition to posting your own.
