Psychology Major’s Requirements
For First Year and Transfer Students Beginning Fall 2006
The major requires 41 credit hours.
Students must maintain an Psychology GPA that is better than a C (2.01 or higher).

The Sequence (Take All):
The following MUST be taken in sequence:
- PS 101
- PS 206
- PS 307
- PS 308
- PS 409
Students will acquire, keep, and use an important set of books during this sequence.
PS 101 Introduction to PsychologyPS 206 Introduction to Statistics in Psychology
Prerequisite: MA 110
Final grade must be C- or higher to go on to PS 307.
PS 307 Methods in Psychology I - Experimental Tradition (+ lab)
Prerequisites: Psychology GPA of 2.01 or higher; PS 206 grade of C- or higher
PS 308 Methods in Psychology II - Non-Experimental Methods (+ lab)
PS 309 History & Systems in Psychology
Majors are strongly encouraged to take PS 309 in their senior year
PS 409 Senior Seminar
A senior thesis is required of all students
PS 409 must be take as a seminar during the regular academic year
