9/6/2022
Create a Trello board for your atmosphere assignment. Make sure it's public. Post it to the Atmosphere Trellos spreadsheet. Create a color palette with coolors (or some other tool), export it, and post it in a card in Trello.
|
9/8/2022
Create a landscape in Vertex Meadow that reflects your assigned prompt. Export it, upload it to netlify or itch.io and post the link to Trello. Audio is not required, although practicing the process for including it is a good idea.
|
9/13/2022
Prototype review. I'll come around and take a look at what you've made so far and answer questions.
Make sure you post your assignment to your Trello with a post-mortem. |
9/15/2022

9/22/2022
When starting out with bitsy, toggle all the tools off except for Rooms and Paint. Once you are comfortable with them, add Exits & Endings. Then Dialog, etc...
Choose from one of your proposals and start working in Bitsy. Design your space. Think about the setting for the world you'd like to create. Make your rooms and let the player navigate between them. Consider your color palette. Be prepared to show me what you've done.
|
9/27/2022
Prepare a playtest build of your prototype. Make sure you've incorporated any essential story elements and have enough content to test and get feedback on your idea. Post your build in a thread in Course Materials > World Building (Bitsy) on Blackboard. Upload your bitsy HTML page to netlify or itch.io.
Note: Not posting a build or missing the playtest (without prior notice) may result in zero on your process grade (40%) on the assignment.
